From in-camera paper textures, hand shot type and a mood shifting hand painted watercolor palette, we leveraged  craft to curate the ethos of Bloomberg’s “Cities of Service” with a compelling visual and aural narrative.

Cities of Service is a movement. And, we decided to use birds as visual allegory to transact this message “through movement”. Birds, like humans, must negotiate and navigate the urban environment. Birds represent fluidity. We utilized this kinesthetic and upward movement that flight embodies to convey the important message of hope and possibility through partnership that Cities of Service creates.

We set a tone with the initial color palette accompanied by the audio that instills a somber urgency - transitioning into an optimistic message - communicating the power of partnership and connectivity - as visually expressed through the flock of birds converging in the Cities of Service logo.
